Hourly Matching Promotion Council is a knowledge-sharing platform dedicated to advancing practical pathways for expanding renewable energy while ensuring power system stability and economic efficiency.
Through the application of hourly matching approaches, the Council promotes the alignment of renewable generation and electricity demand. It serves as a global community to collect, share, and disseminate knowledge across policy and regulatory frameworks, technology, and financial markets, acting as a catalyst for real-world implementation.

Naoki Sakai, CEO
Hourly Matching Promotion Council (CEO, D-Sharing Ltd. / CEO, Hourly Matching Japan Ltd.)
Naoki Sakai has experience across the power sector and international development. He began his career at Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) and later joined the Asian Development Bank as a Senior Climate Change Specialist, working on energy and climate initiatives in Asia.He currently leads the Hourly Matching Promotion Council, while also serving as CEO of D-Sharing Ltd. and Hourly Matching Japan Ltd.

Hirokazu Yamaguchi, COO
Hourly Matching Promotion Council (CEO, Beyond Next Energy Co., Ltd.)
Hirokazu Yamaguchi has extensive experience in corporate strategy and energy business development. He spent many years at Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), where he held leadership roles in corporate planning, international business, and new business initiatives.
He currently serves as CEO of the Hourly Matching Promotion Council and CEO of Beyond Next Energy Co., Ltd., contributing to the advancement of practical energy transition solutions.
Governance and Structure
Hourly Matching Promotion Council is supported by a small group of board members who guide its strategic direction and activities.
