  • About Us

    Hourly Matching Promotion Council(HMPC) aims to promote the dissemination and development of the concept of hourly matching in electricity supply and demand toward the realization of a sustainable society. To achieve this purpose, it shall conduct the following activities

    1. Research and investigation into domestic and international trends regarding calculation and evaluation methods for carbon dioxide emissions associated with electricity supply and demand, including the CHG Protocol, related technologies, and their smooth application to domestic laws, systems, etc.
    2. Promotion of domestic specifications related to hourly matching methodologies that promote regional simultaneous equalization of non-fossil electricity supply and demand, calculation and evaluation of time-of-use carbon dioxide emissions and emission avoidance quantities, and timestamped environmental value trading.
    3. Various certifications and registrations related to hourly matching methods, timestamped environmental value transactions, calculation of time-of-day carbon dioxide emissions and emission avoidance quantities (4) Activities including public relations and outreach to promote awareness of hourly matching and matters concerning the supply of electricity and environmental value
    4. Exchange activities aimed at collaboration with international organizations and overseas entities, policy proposals, and awareness-raising
    5. All businesses incidental or related to the foregoing items

    Council Structure

    The General Incorporated Association Hourly Matching Promotion Council consists of members (individuals and corporations) and a Board of Directors and Secretariat elected by mutual vote among the members.
